What does the ending of the Butterfly Effect 3 mean? [SPOILERS!!]?
I just finished watching the Butterfly Effect 3: Revelation. It’s a good movie, although really sad. He just went back and killed his sister, whom he jumped back in time and saved previously, because of so many people she had killed because she loved him and only wanted to live for him. Anyways, at the end of the movie, he wakes up from the last time jump, the one where he killed his sister, and he’s in the car with his wife, and his daughter in the backseat, her name is apparently Jenna, just like that of his sisters. She also has blond hair.. Anyways, at the very end, she takes a blond girl doll, and places it on the barbecue, and watches it burn while smiling ominously. What does this ending exactly mean?! I am failing to completely comprehend what this means!
By the way, the movie was extremely sad. =(
I guess I might also add to this, that, why is her name Jenna, why does she look like Jenna.. It almost looks like Jenna was re-born so to speak. :s
You answered your own question. It is inferring that dont try and change history because history often repeats itself. On a deeper note you could also assume by that end that maybe because of naming his daughter after his sister and her looking so much alike that he has treated her the same as he would have treated his sister had she lived and therefor helped make her into a killer like his dead sister….. OR you could infer that whatever mental disoder his sister had is hereditary and now his little girl has it and is just as messed up as his sister was…..
