Nikon D5000 or D90 for self portraits.?
Basically, i’m buying a new SLR and i need to know exactly which ones better for ME. I want the following: Amazing image quality and sharpness. Great detail. basically everything a good SLR should provide. However, I need a camera that i can take great self portraits with, which is where the D5000’s swivel screen comes in handy. I’ve seen samples of the D90s work on flickr, and it looks better than that of the D5000. I’m a photoshop wiz, so if its editing please just say so.

I guess what i’m asking is, which camera is better for the money
the D90
or the D5000

(i already know about the LCDs, the autofocus moter lacking, i just need to know which takes the better, sharper, more detailed and vibrant pictures.)

Both are good camera but personally I prefer Nikon D90. Picture out of it are sharp and colors are true.
PS | Feb 02, 2010

Both have very close to the same insides and both can create great images. The D5000 having on auto focus motor in the camera body is not a big deal. There are many lenses available and more coming.

You know about the movable swivel LCD but I have to say since you mentioned wanting to shoot "self portraits" then that LCD get positioned so you can see your self-portrait poses.

Hope this helps.

the d90 is a better deal and the quality of the photos is impressive. resolution is up there with the nikons costing thousands more, autofocus and exposure dead-on. the d90 also has many pro features.

maybe the d5000 is a bit easier but in the long run a serious photographer is better off w the d90

Why is there a perception that casual sex or NSA sex is so common?
I really don’t see where and how casual sex or NSA is so common? People seem to claim it is really common. It just isn’t as common as it seems to be in the press and media.

If an average healthy, well presented male stands in a bar for an hour, it is pretty unlikely that a attractive woman will approach him, chat to him and then suggest " oh would you like to be my regular f__buddy for the the next few months" This is a very very rare event if ever to occur.

Even the other way around if an average guy approaches an attractive woman in a bar, the chance of him being able to even suggest being a f__ buddy without being punched or laughed at is very very small.

Sex always has some sort of string attached. Like the two people need to find each other attractive surely.

I think it depends on the circles you’re in. Among college students casual sex is pretty common for some groups. But not for others. You’re also not figuring in copious amounts of alcohol.
Liz S | Feb 06, 2010

It generally is very common, but people don’t advertise. Usually it develops from a friendship or just someone you know who you find desirable that either you meet up with somewhere (like at a party).

In bars, you can find a one night stand, but you’re right, that rarely eventuates into a casual sex partner, and usually stays more of a once of. If both people enjoy it enough, they may stay in touch or go further into dating, casual sex partner, a relationship.
Generally though, if you have sex the first time you see someone it wont go very far.

Girls i find are more likely to have trouble with not associating feelings with sex, though it’d be hardly fair to say none can.

In bars it more progresses from greeting > talking > flirting > dancing > hooking up and maybe at the end of the night going home together, this order can change a lot, but it’s basically the same.
It does require most often from either sex, that they find the other person attractive and often more, like find them funny or interesting in some other way, though that depends. If they are both looking for sex, maybe a person they find attractive interested in them may be enough to progress to that.

Initially trained for a commando operation in Norway, Frederick has to move quickly to keep the unit together after the operation is canceled. They are sent to Italy where they distinguished themselves in numerous battles.

Has anyone else seen "city of rott" Animated Zombie movie…..AWESOME!!!!!?
The BEST all time animated ZOMBIE horror movie Ive even seen, the maker F. Sudol is making another one soon to be released. I was wondering if anyone out there had a suggestion on any other animated horror flicks similar. Serious or comedy.. either way. I saw that movie not even knowing what it was and Im hooked. My favorite genre of film already is anything Zombie, so when I saw that it was an animated zombie movie I was so happy.
Its very ironic about Dead Fury coming out next week, Id say its been over a year since I had seen City of rott, and I have no idea what reminded me of it, but I decided to look to see if F Sudos next movie was out yet. Back when I first watched City of Rott I founf out there was going to me another release from F Sudol from the best possible source, F Sudol himself……. I had emailed him via his website just to give him a Kudos on the greaat movie and he emailed me back to tell me there would be another release. I totally forgot about it, then out of nowhere I remembered that. I couldnt remember the name of the movie at the time so I typed " Old man zombie movie" or something to that effect and found it. Anyway I cant wait to see it. If its anywhere near as good as City of Rott Its already got my thumbs up!!!

…I have seen it, and it was one of the most outrageous imdependent horror films, that I’d ever seen; I am very much looking forward to this filmmaker’s next animnated horror opus, entitled, "Dead Fury", and it’s coming out next week!!!

…outside of the massive number of Japanese horror anime titles, and perhaps maybe 1980’s "Heavy Metal", there really hasn’t been anyone, at least here Stateside, that has explored the potential of outright horror animation (…besides F. Sudol). Perhaps, this is something that has yet to see the light of discovery, in some time to come…..

….being a devoted zombie movie fan, myself over the years, I have found many obscure and undiscovered jewels within the realm and bowels of the independent film venue. Let me throw some of the more interesting titles at you; perhaps, there are some, which you have not seen (…creatively, some of the maverick filmmakers of the films, which I am about to mention, are absolute madmen, and potentially dangerous creative forces to be reckoned with)…

….1994’s "Shatter Dead"
….1993’s "Darkness"
….2004’s "Bone Sickness"
….2000’s "Meat Market" (…and the same year’s "Meat Market 2"; there’s a third "Meat Market", which got very, very limited release, and is very difficult & expensive to find)
….1999’s "Zombie Doom" (…aka "Violent Shite III: Infantry of Doom")
….1997’s "Premutos: Lord of the Living Dead"
….and of course, filmmaker Todd Sheets’ underground cult zombie trilogy, "Zombie Bloodbath"…

Why Is It That The Band In 2010 Is Nowhere Near As Big A Ratings Draw As The N.W.O Was In 1996?
Do you think it is because most wrestling fans in 1996 actually cared about Scott Hall and Kevin Nash so they abandoned the WWE in huge numbers and tuned in to see what they were going to do in WCW, where in 2010 it is a different story because in 2010 most wrestling fans do not give a flying phuck about what Scott Hall and Kevin Nash are going to do in TNA hence why the January 4th, 2010 episode of Impact did nowhere near as good rating as the May 1996 episode of Nitro where Scott Hall asked WCW if they wanted a war.

Back in 1996 Scott Hall was actually relevant in the wrestling world where in 2010 Scott Hall definitely is not relevant anymore.

The N.W.O in 1996 was actually something new and groundbreaking for the wrestling industry, where The Band in 2010 is just old rehashed recycled trash. The bookers in TNA are too lazy to come up with some fresh new creative ideas, so they gave us The Band.

I believe you have answered your own question.

You won’t be traumatized by either one, but my advice is to spend your money on something better. Both of those movies are inferior attempts at cashing in on a very funny original.

First part-time job interview!?
I applied for a job, the owner called me and did a mini-interview because there were a lot of applicants, and she said I have an in-person interview scheduled for Saturday at 2:15 pm. However, this is my first job interview and I’m so nervous about it. I’m 14, but the place opens up for the season (it’s an ice cream place) in March; by then I’ll be 15.

What kind of things should I look for in the interview? What questions will she ask? What are good things to say?

thanks!

Be calm. There is no need to be nervous in the interview. When they ask a question, feel free to take a moment to think about the answer. It is important that you answer what the question is asking. There is nothing wrong with a few moments of silence. The kinds of questions that are asked vary depending on the company and the interviewer. Many interviewers ask how you have handled situations in previous work experiences or how you would handle a particular situation. Remember, most employers are looking for honest, hard-working people. Be sure your answers convey that you are the kind of person they are looking for.

Go to the interview prepared with questions to ask. Most of the time, an interview will end the interview by asking if you have any questions. This would be the time to ask about working conditions such as hour requirements, etc… Be sure you don’t ask a question that has already been answered during the process of the interview. If all of your prepared questions are answered during the interview, you can say the all your questions have been answered during the interview.

Are the house positions in the planets accurate readings or minor details?
Like if you have the sun in the 3rd or moon in the 5th….whatever it maybe. Any planet in any house.

Does that little detail show up?
Do you honestly feel that affect in your personality or not really?
How important are they if you know?

It depends on the school of astrology you follow. Most modern astrologers consider them to be of fairly big importance, while some other schools (Hamburg astrologers come to mind) don’t consider them at all (these guys focus to a huge extent on aspects, and signs a very distant second).

The houses and the planets within them signify what areas of life those planets will affect you: Jupiter in the second house will tend to indicate much money (the planet of expansion and gain in the house of money and possessions), but Saturn here would tend to indicate poverty (the planet of scarcity and restriction). However, Saturn in the seventh house would tend to indicate being very submissive and restricted in marriages and long-term relationships or partnerships (the house of relationships and contracts).

Because they affect such wide parts of one’s life, their degree of impact depends on how much that person focuses on that sphere of life. Lots of planets in the second house would have less importance to a person who doesn’t focus much on second-house matters.
